Timeless Trendy From matter to form - poetry in clay. Practiced mainly by the Kumbhar (Potter) community in Goa, the traditional techniques of this craft have been passed down generations. The artisans express their creativity through simple and decorative pots, luminaries, special oil lamps called "DIVAJ", items of utilitarian value in traditional as well as contemporary designs.Each item is handcrafted with the potters dexterous hands and lifeless clay assumes myriad shapes and sizes. Nowadays the terracotta items are draped in special paints which make them attractive and classy.
