The empanelment will be valid for a period of 1 year extendable upto 18 months only and is purely voluntary. This empanelment does not automatically guarantee purchase of items from the empanelled artisan by the GHRSSIDC.

Only Goan handicrafts artisans will be registered under this .process for supply of various Handicrafts items to Aparant Emporia.

The Handicrafts must be manufactured by the artisan and no trading of Handicraft item will be permitted. If it is detected that the items are not manufactured by the registered artisan, then the GHRSSIDC will de­register the concerned artisan. The GHRSSIDC will undertake periodic inspection of the manufacturing carried out by the artisan and make all efforts to enable the artisan to improve his or her quality by providing trainings, ensuring participating workshops etc.

The artisan must indicate the annual manufacturing capacity of items produced by him or her.

The rate quoted by the artisan must be competitive and the items supply should be of good quality. Poor quality material will be rejected. Incase the artisan supplies new product and the market response of this product cannot be assessed, then the GHRSSIDC will provide sale on consignment basis to such items through Aparant emporia and in case the market response is favourable then these products can be purchased on a regular basis. The artisans will have to give door delivery to the product ordered by GHRSSIDC at crafts complex, Neugi Nagar, Panaji Goa during working hours. Any breakage or damaged to the items before handing over the same to the GHRSSIDC will have to be borne by the artisan themselves.

The artisans should give an undertaking that the products have been originally made by him/her and the product design has not been copied from any other source. The artisan will indemnify and keep indemnified the GHRSSIDC against all claims of copy right violation in respect of the products supplied by the artisan to the GHRSSIDC.
